Joyce

Most people who come to Dublin have at least heard of James Joyce and his modern masterpiece, Ulysses. This page features an illustration of the author himself, as well as a short biography, just to contextualise the novel.

The second section is dedicated to Ulysses itself and will consist of a gallery of images of Dublin landmarks featured in the book, as well as a short snippet of information about each location.

Images are a mix of original photos and photos sourced from the Flickr Creative Commons area. We were also privileged to have got permission by a graphic designer to use a photo of the beautiful map of Ulysses’ Dublin which she made, as well as permission by Sweny’s Pharmacy to use their photos of the pharmacy interiors, including their charming wooden cabinets and the lemon soap mentioned in the book.
